Founded in 1977, Friends of Forestville is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and helping Historic Forestville and Forestville Mystery Cave State Park. The group has assisted the Minnesota Historical Society in securing funds to support the site. 

Through fund raising, the group has been able to complete projects such as reconstruction of the picket fence, painting and re-roofing of various historic outbuildings, and has underwritten other reconstruction projects, we’ve also sponsored events. Friends have also been instrumental in acquiring park land to perceive the historic character of the valley.
